Pippin's Barbecue in McDonough

I was forewarned and I didnt want to believe it. As a BBQ fan from "up north", I expected your run of the mill BBQ place - soggy or tasteless but OMG was I suprised! I am here at least once a week and find myself craving their brisket (not to mention their signature brisket sauce) ... Its almost unfair how good this place is... But then again, they've been getting it right for decades. Highly Recommended!!!

Always a great place for some bbq and freindly faces

Bbq and stew used to be good but lately everytime I get it its spicy. I don't know why they're making it spicy now, but I dont like it so I have almost stop going to pippins.

Family dinner is delicious and very inexpensive.

The baby backs seemed to be boiled first and the membrain was still on the slab. Not seasoned well at all. The Brunswick stew, taste sweet & my kids would not eat any of what I bought.

The Brunswick stew and cornbread are delicious and today there were several sauces to choose from. Everything was great!

Have eaten at Piping when before l retired.l ate there today and is still great and friendly place.Nothing beats non franchise cooking.

Great fast bbq. Would be 5 stars of not so expensive for small portions of food.

It's not the best in GA, that would hands down be Fresh Air BBQ in Jackson. It is however the best in Henry County. I grew up on it my mom used to work there when i was in elementary school and Mr. Ron's sauce is truly fantastic. And he will be missed. I hope that his legacy lives on

Great food. I order 2 hams every Christmas and eat there regularly throughout the year. The ribs and hotdogs are my usual.

The only bad thing I can say about pippen's is they don't have a location closer to me. People are always super friendly and the food is so good.

I always enjoy the barbecue sandwiches and cole slaw at this small but friendly home town joint. They pile it on high. You won't be disappointed.

Damn, this is good bbq. Been good for ages. Great stew, great price on a family meal deal. Done the old fashioned way and always good. Never had a bad batch.

Very popular place, definitely want to call ahead and make sure they have what you want, especially the ribs. Everything that I've had on the menu so far, I've liked it except for the pulled pork. Nice staff but it gets busy and it's a relatively small place so dining in will typically not be your best bet,especially during the time of COVID, get your order to go!

I only gave 4 instead of 5 because the location in Covington that is now closed had better food.

Mediocre BBQ and service. Minimal portions but not minimal prices. Cornbread was highlight of meal.

Pulled pork tasted like it had been sitting in a crock pot all day. If you come, do it on the weekend when they have ribs.

Everything's great large portions excellent sweet tea the service is outstanding!

My favorite Brunswick stew EVER!

Always been one of my favorite BBQ places. The BBQ and stew are great, and the staff is always courteous and friendly.

The food was good. Nothing great about the food honestly. Clean restaurant with friendly staff. The ribs were ok, the stew was tasty. The coleslaw was decent as well. No complaints but no raves either.

The bbq is good,but the price for the meal is not worth $8(Probably worth $5). Sandwich was quite small and potato salad as well.

Really good restaurant. Tucked out of the way. You wouldnt expect this quality of really good food. Pricing is good as well. Get the banana pudding early because it runs out fast.

Brunswick stew was excellent!!!!.. One regret first time there owner asked me if i was coming in i said no because i was at the laundry mat. Now i go in for a rib sandwich only to be told sold out... On 4th of july... 😆 I'm going back thou to try the ribs.

I am not a huge BBQ person but I love Pippins ~ Ron & Edie were always the absolute best and miss them greatly ~ Ron will always be remembered as the BBQ master in my book ~ I truly think the sauce makes the BBQ and this one is amazing ~ hands down the best Brunswick Stew and Coleslaw as well!!!
